We are excited to be participants in this year’s SONYA STROLL.
Myrtle Avenue Bird Town presents
a Bird Feeder Building and Educational Workshop for Children.
Saturday May 15th, 10am-4pm
At the event, children will be able to assemble and decorate small bird feeders from kits made custom by the Bird Town artists. In addition, children will be invited to assist with bird observations in Fort Greene park and at the Bird Town site.
The event is FREE! All materials will be provided. Each family will be allowed one bird feeder or bird house kit and one urban bird habitat information packet. The participants will assemble and decorate the house with provided materials such as paint, beads, or whatever else we come up with. The info packs are provided by Celebrate Urban Birds by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
The event will take place at the Northwest Corner of Fort Greene Park underneath the Bird Town installation. Please stop by between 10 AM and 4 PM.
